February must be a popular month for births!
 

This afternoon, at about 1:30pm, my wife calls me and says her water just broke. No emergency situation, but the process was beginning.

We got our stuff together (a few bags, camera, laptop, pillows, chargers...) and headed to the hospital. We've been here for about 5 hours and it's going slow. She's on an IV to help labor start moving along, but they still say it could be quite a while until the show begins.

This is also our first. A boy. Harrison Jack. We're both really excited... and I'm as scared as a new father with no prior experience with little ones could be.

I'll be smoking a few of my good ones once we get out and get the baby home. Maybe buy a few beers too. :tu

Thanks all. It's a slow process so far. Lots of pain, so they did the epidural. And I'm feeling dizzy just being around all the needles and pain... And it's not even my pain.

Congrats Kyle! They do grow up fast and take a lot of pics. My little guy turns 1 today and the first year flew by

He's arrived. 3 weeks early and still 8lbs 12oz.

New mom had to fight like crazy, but she did so good.
