I'd still smoke it. That has to be the best place to get a beetle hole. Just clip it and keep on going. Just listen for the pops.

I did smoke it, however put it down after the first 3/4 inch because the draw was horrible, so I never heard a pop

If you ever suspect a beetle, tap the cigar over a piece of paper, if little spects like finely ground black pepper come out......bettle!
