Re: Any sympathy for South Florida?
The only reason you should need a ski mask in South Florida is if you are gonna rob a 7-11, Carlos.

Re: Any sympathy for South Florida?
This is no longer humorous.
Just heard a weather update. The low for tomorrow is now expected to be 34. Not sure if we will make it through the night but we need to be prepared.

34 is not good, I'm staying in.

Just put on your thermal dress and insulated high heels, Carlos.

Did Carlos tell you he found a store nearby that sells edible thongs? They stay pliable right down to a temperature of 33*F.

Can't even wish to recall that. Was up there in Chicago a few years ago when it was -7 before the wind chill and similarly, in Indy when I happened to be there the week of the Super Bowl celebration for the Colts. Not nice. Orlando expected to be around 17 tonight. 34 for us in South Florida on the coast. Expected to be much, much lower inland. Darn gators better take shelter. I went over to the controls and tried to figure out how to turn on the heat. Can't find the manual.

Re: Any sympathy for South Florida?
Let's see.....Cincinnati, Ohio just received another 4-10 inches of snow. Lot of us would be happy with the 40s.

Lots of crops will be damaged for sure in the mid to northern portion of the state. I think as long as it stays above freezing, they should stand a chance.
