Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
I will be ordering this one shortly with a Titanium case. I love the lightness of the material. Amazing.

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
Woah woah guys...
Homage = in this case is just a copy of an original in honor or appreciation of An actual Luminor Marina or Radiomir from Panerai is very expensive. http://www.panerai.com/s_page.xpd?id...2&id_sezione=3 SisWatch727 is a brand called Getat. They make watches that look like Panerai (among others) but are significantly less expensive. Its not a bootleg because they dont claim to be a Panerai. There's no way a getat will every reach the $5k+ mark. I will be ordering one (probably a power reserve in a brushed case), but dont expect it to be NEARLY as high quality as an actual Panerai. Its 1/50th (?) the price. But they are a great value for an excellent looking watch that you get to customize. Last edited by Thrak; 11-22-2009 at 07:51 PM. |

Re: Wristwatch collectors out there?
For all of you looking for deals. Check out some of the Russian made watches. Many of the now have ETA movements and are priced really well. Actually, I think ETA owns several of Russians brands (since the last few years).
Daniel Jean Richard is a great value brand. It's Gerrard Peregaux's second watch line. Mido & Certina are great watch lines that are barely sold in USA, but certainly available. Quite popular in Switzerland and offer excellent value.
