Different DPG Blue Bands?
So there I was gazing upon my cigar collection, when I noticed something odd about my two DPG blues.
Their bands are different. What gives?

Re: Different DPG Blue Bands?
I've been wondering the same thing! I had two of the old bands and saw a recent cigarbid auction come up for the new bands and I wasn't quite sury what I was bidding on...

Re: Different DPG Blue Bands?
Carlos is correct, no blend change. The bands on the Black Label have also been "updated".

Re: Different DPG Blue Bands?
Can't say it is fact but I have heard from pretty reliable sources that the wrapper is different and the change was made around the same time as the bands. If I remember right which these days I have the memory of a 90 year old but I believe the original wrappers were being grown by someone else (I believe it was Oliva) but now the wrappers are being grown by him. Again, do not take this as gospel as this is just what I have been told. I have some of the older and newer Blues and can't taste much of a difference but I am also not known to pick out hints of Madagascar either.

Re: Different DPG Blue Bands?
It had been a while since I had seen the old ones as DPG sticks don't last long around here. Then we were at Blue Smoke visiting TripleF this past weekend and there was a box of the old blues labels in the humi. It brought a smile to my face!!

Yup, same blend, same everything, just an updated look on the bands. As mentioned before, the Classic has new bands now too.

No matter what band they're sporting MJ, those DPG Blue's will smoke just as good. Enjoy bro!
