I hope someone noticed that this was the brand of cigars that were stolen from the Capt. on "The Pacific" tonight

I did notice that. When were these released? I imagine probably before my time on this great earth.

from what ive seen they were big in about the time of the 30s and 40s as all the advertisements for Roi-Tan are from that period (which makes perfect sense for "The Pacific"). I dont know when they died off or when they started

My Dad smoked Roi-Tans up until the early 70's or so.

Ive had one actually.. dont know the vintage, but i believe it was 40's.. it was pretty damn good!

Looks like they were some pretty "Good Sized" Perfecto's...
I loved the smile that the cigars put on each guy's face
That was very powerful/persuasive Marketing....
