Re: Real Cubans
The ones you see locally are Non Cuban brands that share the same name a Cuban brands...and that is the only similarity

Re: Real Cubans
The only thing that's the same is the label/name. Beside that they are completely different.

Re: Real Cubans
I know they cant be purchased in the US just wondering what the difference is since the lables look exactly the same. Looking on websites that sell "Real Cubans" but not in the US.

Re: Real Cubans
They use NON CUBAN tobacco in the ones you see at the store. Foe example a Non Cuban Montecristo is made in the Dominican Republic out of mostly Dominican tobacco and a Cuban Montecristo is made of Cuban tobacco in Cuba

The ones you see in the US are made from tobacco NOT from Cuba, but anywhere else, really. There are many that prefer the taste of Cuban grown tobacco to tabacco grown elsewhere. Just like the same grape variety may make a different tasting wine if grown in France compared to Napa valley. I'm not saying Cuban made cigars are "better", but they do have a different characteristic to them that is uniquely their own. Hope that helps.

Re: Real Cubans
If they are inface the "Cohiba" bands that look the same they are indeed fakes since Cohiba is one of of not the top counterfeited cigar produced. Hope this answers your question.

Many vendors sell both Cuban and non cuban cigars on their respective sites but I can guarentee you that they are not selling cigas that look exactly like Cuban cigars at your local B&M |
