Threw away my fisrt cigar
I picked up a La Gloria Cubana in a natural wrapper in Charlemagne. I bought it from my local B&M and took it camping. At first light it had a nice coffee taste. Then...it wouldn't draw,at all. The wrapper started peeling near the foot. I cut it down three times trying to get a decent draw before I tossed it in the campfire. I couldn't feel anything real unusual in it. I will try another and see if it was a fluke.

Don't feel bad, just chopped up a '01 Monte Especial hoping to get at least 10 minutes of a great smoke... no luck.

Re: Threw away my fisrt cigar
Had to toss an LFD cameroon chisel at my former B&M hangout. It took off immediately to a 1 1/2 inch side burn. I clipped it 3 times hoping to get out of the obvious hole that ran down the side of the cigar. The guy graciously made it up and took an ass chewing for it by his manager which is one of the many reasons I stay away from the douchebags.

Too many good cigars to fight a bad one.

I chucked a Bolivar Cofradia 554 last night for a similar reason. Though I got a decent enough 45 minutes out of the half I had the patience to smoke. I guess I won't be smoking outside when the rh is 96% anymore

Re: Threw away my fisrt cigar
amen to that! I've nubbed cheap sticks and tossed pricy ones. Once it's lit, doesn't matter what it is, if it's not delivering, it gets tossed. Life's way to short (and my smoking time far too infrequent) to smoke bad cigars!

Re: Threw away my first cigar
Seems the more rare or more anticipated cigar I manage to break out for a special occasion, the more plugged and hard to smoke it is. It's gotten to the point where I don't sit on smokes any longer just so I don't have to wait any length of time for disappointment. I really don't get it. I've chunked some really nice cigars that turned out treating me like an azzhole. Life IS too short for that.

Re: Threw away my fisrt cigar
I've had most of an entire couple of boxes come up pretty much plugged before. I was compensated by the seller, even though it wasn't their fault, but still...
They were boxes of Punch Black Prince and Saint Luis Rey Churchills.....
