Thanks Boom or How I learned to love the Lancero
So i smoked tonite a very nice AB Tempus Lancero that was sent to me by Boom on the MAW Thread. It was fantastic, and I am really really learning to love the Lancero Vitola. My first lancero was an El Triunfador, which was nice (review here) and since I have smoked a few, and loved all of them. The volume from these narrow sticks seems to be exceptional and the flavor becomes very pronounced. They rarely get hot and the aromas are easy to enjoy. If anyone doesn't smoke these now, you should start trying them, they are worth it.

Re: Thanks Boom or How I learned to love the Lance
I forgot to mention that the best lancero I have had yet was the My Father Lancero, which I found to be Supreme. DPG has said that to really understand his smokes, check the lanceros, they are the epitome of his blends:
"I thanked him for helping to bring back the lancero, and he smiled and said that they key to the lancero is in the art of the roll. I had always thought lanceros could not be booked, but he said that in his factory, the only way to get a good draw with a lancero is the book, which he called the accordion fold. Only the best rollers in his factories are allowed to roll the lancero, so if you want the DPG cigar made from the best rollers, seek the lanceros!" - Zen and the Art of the Cigar |
