Knowing me, I will torch one with in a day or so of getting them in, then I will put the rest into my coolidor and try to forget about them for a while... hopefully... But no guarantees.

Burned a 2011 today and it was one of the best smokes I've had this year. Bar none. Andre has done it again.

Smoked a 2010 tonight. I honestly had expected more. It was a good cigar but I was expecting it to be amazing. I still may consider looking for another one for next year but I won't save it for a special occasion.

Crazy undead. You have lost your sense of taste and desire for all that is good. Go on about your evil strange ways now.

Sadly, this is a common theme for Andre as of late. Most of his stuff has been shipped green as of late IMHO.

rain in Nicaragua this year, so EVERYTHING coming from their is wet! If a cigar has be be delivered to the market by 12/11 then you can't release it 6/12 and expect your customers to be happy about it. Probably right now the best thing would be to dry box it for a couple of days and then smoke it. I'm gonna try that with one, and report back later in the week. |

Re: Viaje Holiday Blend '11
Smoked my first Viaje Holiday Blend (2010 version) and must have had it built up too much in my mind because it was a slight let down for me. I though it was ok, probably wouldn't seek it out again unless I try a different year that I end up liking better...just my
Just to elaborate a bit it didn't seem complex at all, not that it needed to be. It just didn't have any of the flavor profile I expected from what's known as a "holiday stick." I thought I would get some pine, or other holiday spice notes of some sort. Again, it was just my expectation of what I thought it would be like...not a bad smoke IMO but not a great smoke either.

Lots of "negative comments" about this years Holiday Blend. Gonna wait awhile before I smoke some of mine.
