Re: Midwest Storms
I've been utterly unimpressed so far...a little bit of rain and that's it. Haven't heard a clap of thunder and the wind is minimal. The radar I'm looking at says I'm in the middle of it now.

All the area in yellow is in the watch.

Not me, that would make my day MUCH longer. I really hope we don't lose power at home. So far so good.

Our daycare has all of the kids in the bathrooms......wife's work has them in stairwell. We just got an email that said if anything is spotted they will sound the alarms.....I guess that means if they are standing by a window and a car goes flying by they will tell us.....

Re: Midwest Storms
Strong wind and rain for about 10 minutes. Dying dow now.
Little more less nasty ness coming in 10-15 minutes but all in all it pretty much was a non-event here at the office. Hope no trees came down at home.

Radar loop.
http://radar.weather.gov/Conus/centgrtlakes_loop.php We don't get solid wall fronts that you can see coming, like this one. |

Re: Midwest Storms
Wind and a lot of rain, lasted about 30 minutes. The worst part was the Tornado Siren going off every 30 minutes leading up to it.

Re: Midwest Storms
It's been windy as shite down here in SE Tennesse today. I ran outside at lunch to take the canopy off the pergola before it was torn down. Was thinking about riding my bike after work... may have to go sailing instead.
Edit- wife just called and said they are seeking shelter at work. Really dark outside... time to get the dogs and bunker down. |

Re: Midwest Storms
I think the news creates a big up roar so people are prepared. It rained for about 20 minutes and was really windy.
