Looking for a German Beer
Quite a few years back a friend of my fathers brought him a case of beer back from Germany . The friend was a pilot and told my father that he had to return all the bottles and the plastic crate they came in . Why ? I don't know . This beer was called Hannen Alt , spelling may be incorrect but thats the name my father remembers also . It was one of the best beers I can ever remember having , dark and full of a really good German beer flavor . If anybody knows what beer I'm talking about please chime in .

Re: Looking for a German Beer
Thanks for the links . I was hoping to find a distributor in the USA and I can't read German on the Hannen Alt page . I did search on Google but didn't find too much , nothing on if it's actually sold in the US either . I did see the plastic crate that it came in the larger bottles . I guess I'm SOL . Oh well , I'm used to it being a Philadelphia sports fan .

Re: Looking for a German Beer
I found a few ratings on it.
http://www.ratebeer.com/beer/hannen-alt/9796/ http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/3184/18876 It seems to look familiar, perhaps I can find it at my local store. They have about 4028362 beers there.
