Default V-Cut

Hey guys. Been really digging using a V-Cutter lately. Been using your typical cheapo freebie type cutter the last few months. Anyone know if there is anyone out there who makes a higher quality cutter? I do not believe Palio or Xikar make one but was wondering if anyone out there knew of any other manufacturers. Thanks!

Scroll down the page to find a couple of Xikar v-cutters.

I have one of these and it works great.

Here's one from Xikar, although not on the Xikar website.

Cool !!

I have a little antique one I use for really small sticks and was looking for another for larger ring gauges.

I've used a cheap version a few times and it kinda mangled the cigar. I might pick up a good V-cutter and try it out. I understand some people use this on torps. This seems a little strange - do you like V-cuts in torps?

I have tried it as I too have heard others talk about using it on torps. I honestly prefer to use my Xikar on the torps over the V-Cutter. With torps it just does not seem to clip enough to get a decent draw. The few times I did do it I just ended up re-cutting it with the Xikar just so I could get a better draw as without doing so it was like sucking a golf ball through a straw. Lately, I just seem to like the V-Cutter on every other vitola other than torps and belis simply because I feel like I am getting a cleaner cut without risking the integrity of the cap and still able to get the same amount of smoke volume as I would with a Xikar or Palio. Who knows, for all I know I may be singing a different tune in two weeks from now.
