George Jones Discographies finally on CD.
I'm incredibly happy right now and just thought I would share the news. I had a hard drive break on me and I lost all my writings and my music. I can retype the drafts easy enough, but some of that music was hard to come by.
I'm a huge George Jones fan, some of you may know that. What many of you know for certain though, if you listen, is that classic country ain't so classic any more. If anyone is interested - the price is kind of steep - you can purchase Jones' complete United Artists' sides at http://www.amazon.com/Thinks-Complet...7718094&sr=8-2 In addition, Bear Family Records (German-based record label that specializes in classic country/ early rock box sets) has just announced the release of his complete Musicor sides (http://www.bear-family.de/repertoire...ok.html?lang=1) on 3/30/09. I suggest you wait until this hits Amazon, and it is pricey as well. But the level of detail and remastering that goes into these tracks more than makes up for it if you are a diehard fan. I'm not asking anyone to buy anything, I just had this set come along at a good time for me, and feel that the music should continue. If you know classic country, you know George Jones.
