iPad Touch 2nd & 4th Generations

Can someone in the know tell me why the 4th Generations are less expensive than the 2nds? Both are 8Gig - the 2nd Gen is $239.98 and the 4th Gen is $178.

I thought the 4th Gen was the newest, so how come it is less expensive?

Assuming iPod touch - it is probably an inventory issue that they are trying to clear out the 4th generation inventory but only have limited 2nd or 3rd gen that they just keep on hand.
4th gen is most current that I know of.

If you are shopping there is no legitimate reason I can think of not to get a 4th gen FYI.
