Cigar Art
Finally got around to getting my room re-done, and my wife had my 3 original Muhrens framed. I got these from Mike last year in a trade, but it took until this past month to get the room complete. Here are a few shots of the art hanging on the walls!
My new Chasidor Mini-Cabinet is under this first pic and the Leg Lamp

Re: Cigar Art
The one thing I wasn't allowed to do with the room
Everything else was all me, carpet, furniture, paint, art...the wife even calls it my 'Cigar Inspired Room' but I haven't found the right button to push yet that will get her to allow me to smoke there!

Quote:
Its Behr Bellagio Faux. You pick a base coat, paint it and wait on it to be ready to paint over, then you put on the Faux Finish, its a glaze-type with these little white beads in it. After it sets for 15 minutes or so and starts to get 'tacky' you use a dowel and scrape it around to break the beads. It gives that look when it dries. 3 walls were nice and smooth and real easy to get that 'rustic' look, but the 4th wall was textured already and MUCH harder to work on. Up close you can see the scrape marks themselves, instead of just the 'Faux' pattern. But it all worked out in the end! My wife was in Peru when I re-did that room, she had no idea I was going to do all that, so now of course she wants to re-do other rooms in the house!

Re: Cigar Art
Not a big poster, but thought I'd comment on this thread. AWESOME looking room! I am actually moving into my own (first) apartment next week and am trying to get some stuff to decorate the new place, and this cigar art has opened my eyes. If you could share how you came about those pieces, or recommend some sites that sell cigar art, I would really appreciate it. Again, awesome looking room! Congrats!
