Default Green Cigars?

ARTURO FUENTE 8-5-8 CANDELA LONSDALE...I came across some of these at Castle Cigar in Tampa yesterday. Curious as to what they may taste like. Has anyone ever tried one of these or something else green?

I spent too much yesterday, but I will pick one up just to try next time. I just have a feeling that i will not like it because I prefer maduros.

Grassy. A nice change of pace. The Camacho Candela is quite good as well.

Just because a cigar is mild doesn't mean it's not full flavored. I don't think they are any more mild than the natural. Just a different flavor. The Camacho's are a good medium.

Candela wrappers are not bad at all! They are not very common, but many brands do have a candela wrapper.

The candela wrapper is the rarest of the breed, and thus coveted by some. Mild? Well, usually milder than the same cigar in a different wrapper, yes. But as has been said, mild does not necessarily mean flavorless. Try it, you might like it.

I enjoy a nice candela every once in a while...

From some of my research, candelas were once the favorite smoke in the US... Celtics legendary coach and team president Red Auerbach famously smoked candelas exclusively.

I think Candela wrappers are a nice change of pace every once and a while. They used to be very popular, but since the '90s Boom I think they've gone down in popularity (at least there aren't as many brands making them). They can be mild in strength, but have plenty of flavor. I have a box of Fuente 8-5-8 Canela Lonsdale and enjoy them with my morning coffee from time to time.

only had one candela a LONG time ago and it didnt tickle my fancy, maybe i'd like em now that i have a bit of a pallet but im not in a rush to try one.

and side note about red auerbach, in my research he smoked hdm governers pretty much exclusively which are not candelas, but i could be wrong. either way, those are a nice smoke, and somewhat sentimental to me

Then perhaps I will pick a few up next time. Seems like a good cigar to throw in a bomb since I have never seen them anywhere else. But I will have to smoke one first.

One of the absolute worst cigars I have ever smoked in my life.
There are others out there, like "The Angry Elf".
Candela wrappers were what everyone smoked a long time ago. They just fell out of fashion.

I've smoked a few Candelas in my time and they were all pretty awful. I never smoked an A. Fuente Candela though. The smell from a Candela cigar is pretty stinky too. Columbo loved them and everyone else around him did not. LOL

I've had a few. They're mild, and they do have a grassier flavor than more of the regular lines. It's definitely a little different. I believe I still have one in my cooler. Gonna save it up for next St. Patrick's day, put another year on it.

How can this statement be true? A cigar that has is full flavored is "full" and cigar that has a mild flavor is "mild." It doesn't mean it has no flavor just a mild set of flavors...

Doesn't Mild/Full reffer more to the nic than the flavor??

Mild Medium and Full can refer both to the body and strength or so I have read.
