Draw
I have a question about tight draw
What are the causes of tight draw? When they are made... Humidity... Age.... Other? I just got a box of Diesel Unholy Cocktail and the very first one was tight. I hade to repeatedly use a poker on it. Previous ones I e never had a problem with These I got in the mail and I've had them in my humidor, 70-70, for two day now Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Draw
I can say from my experience a tight draw is caused from over humidified sticks or every once in a while you will get a stick that has a hard spot in it. I agree with the two above let them sit for a while and then check them out

Re: Draw
That is what I was wondering. Don't really have to worry about humidity here, almost a constant 70% year round. I keep my humidor in my bedroom closet where my wife keeps it nice and cool
I will let them sit for a while and see. Maybe one a week and see how they settle Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Draw
Humidity can have a large effect (most likely the case here) but there are also times when the roller simply uses too much tobacco (overfilled) and has to roll the cigars tight to fit the dimensions he/she is trying to achieve. In that case, not much you can do but fight through it. If you so desire.

Re: Draw
Dry Box!! try 60 to 65% range on these, see if that helps!

Re: Draw
I always find this when I buy cigars in panama. At the Habanos they keep there cigars in an open room... Not exactly the best humidity for a good draw. I tend to use a long plastic stir stick and poke down an inch or 2 it usually helps.

Re: Draw
I was using an old dental tool I have in my bike toolbox (clean of course ). Worked great but had to repeat the poke a couple of times
That tool is now in my travel humidor Posted via Mobile Device |
