Little Big Horn Painting
The state of Montana wanted an artist to paint a picture of what he thought was going through George Armstrong Custer's mind during the Battle of Little Big Horn. At the revealing ceremony he lifted the drape over the painting & the audience was shocked. The painting portrayed a cow with a halo over his head & in the back ground Indians picking cotton. They asked him to explain & the artist said that Custer was probably thinking:
"Holy Cow! Look at all those cotton pickin' Indians!"
