The Knot
This stuff is made in Ireland.
Has anybody tried it? What are your thoughts?

Re: The Knot
Well, depends what you are after. It isnt whiskey but a kind of a liqueur to me or maybe a half and half type of deal. I have heard it called an Irish Southern Comfort. I haven't tried it with a cigar but to me the flavors might mute a cigar.
But it's 100 proof so has some power behind it. Most my guy friends who are scotch or bourbon drinkers don't like it calling it too sweet and off flavor. A couple think it could be a sipper with a single cube. The ladies that have tried it didn't think it was too bad and some loved it. It can be a change a pace type of thing I guess but if you are looking for an Irish Whiskey, this isn't it. Worth a try if you like a Southern Comfort type of vibe though. -C |
