Dom and I talked about the UNI ovens a few years ago. Takeaway is that unless you need the portability, not the greatest of ovens. You are buying a very expensive stainless beer can.
Dom has a Blackstone, I ended up building my own WFO. |

In regards to the WFO vs Blackstone...
I built the WFO because I had 95% of the parts and stuff already. It cost me like $15 for a few bolts and some metal to put together. It's not perfect by any means, I've had to modify and tweak it along the way. I have a major upgrade in mind, just haven't gotten around to it yet. Thing is, doing something like that is a past time for me and since I own the tools & welders to build it... why not... If I were buying an oven and just wanted to cook, I'd get the blackstone and the extra thrust bearing. |
