Dave? Dave? Dave's Not Here, Man
Tonight is Letterman's final show. Whether you are a fan or not, if you loved him, hated him, or simply ignored him, the fact remains he was a part of the American cultural landscape for over thirty years of late-night entertainment, whose influence in that genre is likely only surpassed by his mentor, the late Johnny Carson.
From his velcro suit to the Top Ten List, he entertained night owls of two generations. Thank you, Dave . . . you will be missed.

I remember staying up and watching his show the first few years when it was the really really late night show, he changed talk shows for all time, not to mention getting Billy Murray drunk last night.
