Default 25 years ago today....

We lost one of the greats, Stevie Ray Vaughan.

My favorite SRV song, feel free to put up yours. I miss him like crazy.

No surprise, my favorite SRV song is not a SRV song.

We miss you, Stevie.

I just plain love Stevie Ray, he's probably my favorite single blues artist, period. Depends on the day, though.
Him, Son House, and Johnny Lee Hooker round out my favorites.

I don't know about "my favorite Stevie Ray Song", but I find myself listening to Life By The Drop a lot. It's a great story.
I do love me some Riviera Paradise, too. Smoooooth.
That tune right there will keep a brother from killing something.

Reminds me of an old joke...

"How may skinny white (Texan) guitarists does it take to cover a Hendrix tune?"
"All of them, apparently"

I'm generally not a fan of covers. ESPECIALLY when there's no personal imprint or the artist simply duplicates the original...or, IMO, the cover doesn't come close to the original. However, as much as I love Hendrix, I think that SRV's Voodoo Child and Little Wing both improve upon the originals. As much as Hendrix re-made others' music, I think he'd appreciate both SRV renditions.

Blues music is all about doing covers, but doing it their way. Both of these versions are great and I'm a big Jimi Hendrix fan.

I'm going with Texas Flood, but all of these picks have been outstanding.

Voodoo Child was already posted, so I'll do some scuttle buttin': https://youtu.be/klIIPsE9L74

If I could I'd just link to the entire "Live at the El Mocambo" concert. Way back, I had that on VHS and pretty much wore the tape out.

this is my favorite SRV song
