Default Ron Zacapa question

So I'm trying to choose between the Ron Zacapa 23 and the XO. The 15 anos is my go-to rum, but I'm trying to branch out a bit. I'll be making a quick trip out and then back so I'll be picking these up duty free.. I'm interested in the tasting notes between the two and if there's really a large difference between the 23 and the XO.

I'm leaning towards the XO personally since I'll be able to pick it up duty free for only a wee bit more than it would be to pick up the 23 in the liquor shop back home..

ThankS!

I have only had the 23 so I can't speak to the comparison, but the 23 is great, Dan.

I could almost hear Dean Wormer speaking to me at the Shack...

I say get the XO, partly for the reason you mentioned, and partly because it seems harder to find. At least it near me, it's nowhere to be seen.

that's a good point.. I've seen the 23 in a store in Washington DC, so I could probably get that, but I'd never seen the XO until at a duty free..

I have both. I would go for the XO if the cost is close. Not a $50 difference, that I can tell, but it's nice to have variety.
I recently saw the XO at a Total Wines store in Atlanta ($89). Haven't seen it before, anywhere, so if you have the opportunity to get it, go for it
