Cigar Sized (Comment and Poll
So as many smokers do, my preferences change. When I first started smoking cigars, I smoked almost exclusively robustos, as I learned how much I loved cigars, I wanted the biggest thing I could find. In the past 2-3 months I have been smoking almost nothing but Lanceros/Lonsdales, long/thin has been my thing.
Now, thanks to the great invention called "The Cigar Punch" I have started liking some larger ring gauges again, coming full circle and enjoying Robustos again (had a DIVINE La Traviata last night). So the question is, what is your favorite size right now, and how often do you change your preferences. EDIT: Didn't even put figurados/torpedos in here because they vary so greatly... Re: Cigar Sized (Comment and Poll
In addition, how does the size ranges I listed look? I have been trying to "quantify" the average NC size ranges in my own mind, and I think that just about covers it... a few of them of course overlap (Toro and Robusto can be pretty damned close)

Re: Cigar Sized (Comment and Poll
I know Ferd, I edited above that due to the VAST size variance (there are torpedos (there are 4x40ish and 6x60ish, both called "Torpedo" or "Belicoso") I figured you could put whatever size you liked and mention that you like it with a pointy tip :-P...

Re: Cigar Sized (Comment and Poll
I'm a lonsdale fan! Over the last couple years I've really downsized my ring guage preferance from churchill and robusto sizes to the lons. Coronas aren't bad either, but I like the smoking duration the lonsdale provides assuming I have the time.

Same here, except that I don't often have the time for a lonsdale, so I chose corona/cg.

Re: Cigar Sized (Comment and Poll
I used to like a bigger ring, 50 or better. I tend to reach for smaller stuff now, corona gordas and pc's. I feel like I get more flavor out of the smaller rg smokes, especially around a 46.
I'm not crazy about real skinny cigars, but I'm starting to warm up to them.

Re: Cigar Sized (Comment and Poll
I like the smaller stuff just becasue of time constraints. Given a couple hours free I'll reach for a big dog!

Re: Cigar Sized (Comment and Poll
Right now I always seem to reach for either a Corona or Belicoso. It kind of takes me back how many new lines out there are not rolling Corona vitola's when just a few short years ago it was the most popular size. Oh well, times/taste change I guess.

Re: Cigar Sized (Comment and Poll
42 to 52 or so... With the bigger RGs I feel like I'm smoking a soda can, and with the skinnier lanceros I'm always worried I'll snap them in half. I generally buy toros and robustos, but torps, belis, perfectos, and other figurados are fine.

Typically reach for corona sizes and smaller. Flavors seem to pop out a bit more.
If heading out to the golf course, then the larger rg and lengths come out.

I like lanceros but coronas are better based upon my free time...

Re: Cigar Sized (Comment and Poll
I'm a torpedo/belicoso kinda guy generally, but lately I've been moving into robustos. I enjoy a nice torpedo when I know I have the time to kick back and enjoy it. Robustos seem to fit my average "smoke time" these days.
(edit: I'm your "other" guy...I went with other for the torp/beli you didn't put up.)

Re: Cigar Sized (Comment and Poll
I prefer the PC size. I like the fact it isn't a big commintment of time. If it is that good I will just smoke a second one.

Re: Cigar Sized (Comment and Poll
Lonsdale/Lancero make the cut every time. I just seem to consistently get the best flavors out of them, regardless of marca.
