Default a love hate relationship with winter.

So i live in Michigan and my relationship with Winter brings a lot of confusion into my life. It's like one of those complicated relationships with a girl when you don't know if you should pursue things or if its a big danger zone ahead.

I love the winter cause with it comes snow (most of the time in michigan at least). I am a huge snowboard nut and its my escape from everything. Anything that is currently going on in my life is out the window. Nothing else is in my head for that entire day except shredding. But with the winter comes the cold, the cold = a lot less smoking of cigars. Sadly i do not have a space heater and my parents take up both spots in the garage at home so not much room in there anyways. The Wind today is just out of control and i'm scared to even venture outside and seeing as the heat in my car coughHOOPTIEcough is broken.. well no smoking in there while chilling at the random parking lot. Not a huge fan of the B&M's around here either.

Smokers Depot has little room to sit with only two chairs but the best prices in town. Smokey's with the best selection... doesn't give off that "anyone is welcome to come in and smoke" kinda vibe. The new place that just opened is frickin awesome.. but 100 dollars a month and you must buy a box of cigars to join their club? no thank you. Maison edwards... i won't even go into their store because of their prices. I feel like if i chopped my arm off and gave it to them i'd actually be saving from their shelf prices.

Anyways what do you all do? just sit it out, be patient and wait till spring? at least it puts some good age on my cigars while i wait at the very least.

I put on ice fishing gear and sit on my porch with a radio, a beer and a cigar. At least the temperature keeps the beer cold.

You can never have too many cigars, they are like an investment in good times.

Sometimes you just have to tough it out. Dress warm, bring out some nice hot coffee or tea, or a nice cold beer , and try to enjoy your smoke.

Ryan,

Long time now see...now stop your whinin' and throw yourself in the mix at Smoky's. You have listed four B&Ms to choose from...we have NONE here in Northwest Alabama. Don't let me catch you acting like a little tit about this again, ok?

Also in Michigan SW Michigan to be exact. Current temp -2 with a windchill of -25 and blowing/drifting snow. Once the ice forms you can bet I'll be on the Lake with my shanty, heater, beer and a cigar. Oh I should bring fishing poles and bait too...

Not a fan of winter. It not for Christmas, I would suggest we just go from Autumn into Spring and bypass these 3 months altogether.
