The farmer

A ventriloquist was driving through a rural area and his car broke down. He got out of his car and was standing next to it, wondering what to do because he had no cell phone signal. A horse in a pen next to the road came up to him and stood there. Soon a farmer on a tractor drove by and stopped. The ventriloquist decided to play a joke on the farmer so he began to talk to the horse.

The farmer asked, "Hey what are you doing with my horse?"

The man said, "Having a conversation."

"Horses can't talk," said the farmer.

"Oh yes I can," the horse appeared to say, because the ventriloquist was throwing his voice.

"See? I told you so," said the ventriloquist to the farmer.

The farmer replied, "Well I'll be. Hey, if you talk with those sheep over there, just keep in mind that they are a bunch of lousy liars!"
