Default new pipe/smoker

I recently got pipe tobacco in the Secret Santa thing and just today I went out to the b&m and bought me a new pipe to smoke it. Just thought I drop by. I'll be checkin here more often now =)

Enjoy that pipe!

Fill it carefully taking care not to restrict airflow more than the slightest amount to avoid problems.

All details spelled out here: http://groups.google.com/group/alt.s...d1b87db15204e0 Section 2.5 is most important to a proper fill, even light and a relatively carefree smoking experience.

General questions mostly answered here: http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=6366

Pipes are fun, Enjoy the new slope, and if you haven't gone into the coffee forum yet, DON'T!, one can only take some many slopes at a time.

Let me know what you think of the Luray Tavern.

I've never smoked a pipe, but sitting in the Old Virginia lounge smoking a cigar with the regulars there last week i was really digging the aroma of the pipe tobaccos. I think I may give it a go one of these days. Thanks.

That is a beautiful pipe. At my B&M I was one of the very few regulars to smoke a pipe in there a couple of years ago, now all the regulars are pipers and we now have a pipe club that meets a couple of times a week.

Welcome to the cliff.

You'll have to post what you think of it so far, Wu...I just started last week and so far it's interesting, frustrating, enjoyable, annoying, fun, and uses a lot of matches

I figure a couple of more weeks and I'll decide what I really think!

The first time using a pipe can be like riding a bike, a lot of errors happen before you get it right.
