Pulling the wife down the slope
When I first got into this crazy hobby, the wife wasn't too happy about it, but she didn't say anything. As time went on, she saw how happy good cigars made me and how relaxed I was while smoking so she slowly became more supportive. I tried to get her involved with flavored cigars and mild intro sticks, all to no avail, until the day she snatched a Dante I was smoking and loved it. From that day on, every time I had a full flavored stick, she'd share.
Fast forward to today. She just found out she's getting a promotion at work from a legal secretary to a full paralegal, complete with pay raise. To celebrate we retired to my "smoking lounge" aka porch, for a celebratory smoke. I had a Cain straight Ligero while she had a Cain F, which she loved. Looks like it's time to buy a bigger humidor!

That's pretty cool, man. I wish I could get my wife to smoke but it's a no-go due to asthma. I guess on the bright side I won't have to hear "While you were running errands I decided to have a cigar. You weren't saving that Arturo Fuente with the big "X" on the band for anything, were you?"

My wife is an ex smoker so she doesn't try any of my cigars. But she does comment on the ones she likes the smell of and ones she doesn't. She does have a nice nose for a good smoke though.

Re: Pulling the wife down the slope
Awesome! Congratulations to your wife on her promotion. My old lady used to smoke the heck out of the Kahluah flavored cigars and the Java's. Hasn't touched a stogie since she got pregnant with our first kid though.

Congrats! I'm glad my wife stays away from my humi. I don't need competition for my beloved Tats.

About a week ago my girlfriend offered to buy me another cooler for my "collection." Told her I wanted to wait until mine was more full, and that an empty cooler-dor picture on this site is like painting a target on your head.
