I don't mean to come off as a whiner. I just want my team to get some respect from the zebras. I understand that usually the aggressor gets the benefit of the doubt and that is purely on the Wings. I hope they open a can tonight.

To late
Because you like this one so much Clownshoes is sad Compairing a penalty half way through the third to a guy who played 13:30 which tied the game to a penalty in sudden death overtime to the best defender on the club who played 30:00 minutes which ended the game. Don't worry I have a feeling the Wings will get the benefit of the doubt tonight and the Sharks will need to be very careful. If they get hosed on some calls and lose the game I can assure you I wont be crying about it and blaming the call for them losing the series if it were to happen. I will be stunned if the Wings don't fly out there tonight. Everything is on the line and I am sure they will be crying all night to make sure they get the calls. Bertuzzi can show them how to cry like a pro. Last edited by Ahbroody; 05-04-2011 at 03:43 PM. |

Setoguchi and Thornton really got the top line rolling tonight. Needed to show up sooner or later and they chose a great game to do it.

They dominated that game last night, and if they play like that on Friday, Philly doesn't stand a chance.
Friday night they should put the Nail in the coffin.

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
I was actually watching the Bs game more then the Sharks to see if there were any signs of life from Philly. That dog looks dead.
Congrats to the Bolts. They showed everyone their lightning bolt. The Caps need to do something that is for sure. The Wings needed to play their best game and they did without a doubt. Didn't watch the last part of the game it was family time. Of what I saw Detroit played a physical game and a great Detroit style game the rest of the way. It was a back and forth battle. When I saw the Setto penalty it reminded me of the Weber call, but that's the game. Glad the Sharks killed it and found a way to win. The whole same day, same score, same type of win is just freaky. It'll be interesting to see if we can finish off Philly and Detroit tonite. I would have never predicted those 2 going out in sweeps, and certainly not 3 sweeps in the 2nd round! It also looks like the Canucks are finally figuring out Rinne and Kesler is doing for Vancouver what he did for the US last year in the Olympics. Not sure that the Canucks will finish off Nashville tomorrow, the scorelines have been too close even if the games haven't, but it's certainly looking like a Vancouver v San Jose Conf final.

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
I dont think the Sharks are finishing anything tonight unless Howard craps his pants. He did look like a man on the edge after game 3 though. The Wings are going to be so desperate and fighting for every inch of ice. I expect them to play physical again. Sure they will keep yhe same lineup.
This Sharks team just doesnt panic and Mclellan just seems to have a solid game plan for the Wings. The guys are generally in the right spots to break up the Wings precision passing attack. The boys have been just good enough to eeek out the three wins. Its possible it ends tonight but I dont think anyone thinks it will including the Sharks which could be bad. I can guarantee the Sharks wont panic even if down by two. I am starting to think thats the big difference these days. They just dont panic and they are no longer scared of the Wings or any team. They just keep playing their game regardless of the scoreboard. I dont think tonight will be a blowout though like last year. Edit: watching the Canucks replay on nhl net. Kessler is a cold blooded killer. After that third goal he just skated looking up at the crowd with his arms up. Savoring the heart broken looks he was getting. Dude likes to murder souls. Cold blooded. Last edited by Ahbroody; 05-06-2011 at 02:33 PM. |

Puck just dropped on the Bs and Flyers. I'd love to see the Flyers get swept, but I'm being careful not to get my hopes up too high!

Awesome game. Wings had the jump early 3-0. Sharks kept playing their game get the tie and then lose in the end. Great game by both teams. Wings showed a lot of skill and heart as did the Sharks.
Full marks to the Wings for not folding when the Sharks made the push. |

I agree, they dominated that whole series.
Bring on the Lightning!!! Should be a good series but if they play with the heart and smarts they showed in this series they will be Cup Bound

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
I think the Bolts Bs will be a real interesting series. Bolts are fast with snipers, Bs are big and tough with grinders and good D. Thomas could be the xfactor if he can stop the Bolts snipers. Think the Bs may be able to pound the Bolts into submission if they play clean and stay out of the box. Would be interesting to see Chara blow up St. Louis.

Re: NHL '10 - '11 Thread
Damn, Patrice Bergeron is concussed, and will miss the start of the next series.
This is a major blow Bergeron could be considered the MVP, heck he has won close to 70% of his face offs.
