Re: Red's Fans Check in
Jay Bruce and Stubbs love striking out. Gomes is starting to pick up the old strikeout bug too. Swing for the fences and whiff or watching fat pitches right through the middle. Seems like the only guy who is selective at the plate is Votto right now.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
It seems that most broadcasters hate the Reds. On Saturday, Joe Buck was pathetic when Joey hit his HR. He just said "There is a HR by Joey" in the most monotone voice. When the Cardinals (forget who) hit one, he sounded like he was going to jump out of his seat. Screw Joe Buck.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
I agree. I thought it was well balanced. We heard plenty of talk about Votto, Phillips, Bruce, Rolen, and Volquez last night. If anything, they spent more time on the Reds than they did the Cards.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Wow! The boys were on a roll there in the third. Bruce and Gomes even got in on the action.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Nice change up in the lineup yesterday to make some nice run support. Good to see Bruce not suck yesterday.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Ryan Braun is a G though, its ironic that the Reds can't lock up Votto like that.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Going to be interesting to see how Mike "Free t-shirt" Leake responds to his first road start after jacking 6 t-shirts from Macy's. We'll see how the fans bust him up about it, could be pretty funny.
Kind of nice to see all 3 of the Reds outfielders move into the top 25 in strikeouts this season. These guys aren't too selective, and elite pitchers (luckily the division doesn't have many) eat these guys alive.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Great game last night, thanks to waffle for the tickets.
Stubbs and Bruce are complete garbage. Its a wonder Joey Votto has any RBI's with these two clowns batting in front of him. O'fer combined, Dan's boy was a solid 0-5 with 3 K's himself.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
And how did they do in the game? And how about the two more strikeouts later in the game? Why does Joey Votto, who leads the team in batting average, OBP and slugging, have only 16 RBI's? He is in the top 10 in most batting statistics but is 47th in RBI. Stubbs and Bruce have a lower OBP than Votto and Phillips have averages and all three of their outfielders are averaging over a strikeout per game.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Reds lost bigtime last night, but if you didn't see Phillip's play through the legs to Votto, you must check it out! Completely awesome!
