Ya, it ain't no Pappy 23 for sure but it scratches the itch. Especially after an 18 pack.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
I’ve just started to get into bourbon this past year or so. I’ve enjoyed it for a while but couldn’t tell you two things about it. A couple of good neighbors, a trip to KY and my local store putting me on the list for an allocated bottle (and getting said bottle) have pushed me down the slope. I don’t have many preferences yet as my tastes range from ryes to sour mash to wheated bourbons, but I’m enjoying it.
Oh, and Tom. As you’re aware, that Weller Antique is pretty darn good. I’ve had it at a local bar. I enjoy it on the rocks. The Weller special reserve is surprisingly easy for me to get locally and is good for the price but can’t hold a candle to the Antique. |

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
Found a liquor store in Boston with lots of 107. Unfortunately, I was only carry on.
Last night had my first pours of 1792 Bottled in Bond and Booker's Small Batch.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
Got to sample some wonderful bourbons at Shack this weekend, including Four Roses Al Young 50th Anniversary. Also found a single bottle of Weller 107 on the shelf at regular price.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
That four roses sounds awesome. Way to go on the Weller. It just so happens that my local called me today saying they had a bottle for me. The new cork top one as well. I think I need to have a drink of my open bottle of the 107 again soon. I’ve been reaching for the McKenna too often.

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
Do you drink a good bit of this? I am curious whether or not you can tell a difference after the label change. Some folks say they cheapened it when it when from hand filled to rapid pour assembly line. Personally, I cannot tell a bit of difference .

Re: The Bourbon Thread!!
Couple pours of Redemption Rye last night. Drinkable, but far from being one of my favorite ryes.
