Re: Photography Thread
I like the softened version of the wife pic. With the focus on her and surrounding soft like that, it draws your eyes to her face, which I'm assuming was the intent.

The WB is too far off for me in that one. The B/W is another great one. She's has that 'WTF' look on her face.....lol. She photographs well!

Re: Photography Thread
I think a lot of wives are like that, mine won't even let me take her picture. Crazy women!

Not a fan of the lomo. As is, the focal softened looks too fake (blur above her head where the eye expects it to be sharp + same blur applied across the entire photo), But it would totally be my vote IF you graduated strength of the blur (left and right edges being VERY blurry, lightening up till you get to the subject) ...

Re: Photography Thread
Here's what I whipped up whilst playing with it. I played with motion blur and gaussian blur, along with a black and white version.
motion blur, color motion blur, black and white gaussian blur, color (heavier blur than yours... a lighter blur like yours will look much more realistic, a heavier blur like this can be riskier, but gain a little more pop). given the two side by side, I would probably pick the lighter blur. gaussian blur, black and white (heavier blur than yours... a lighter blur like yours will look much more realistic, a heavier blur like this can be riskier, but gain a little more pop). given the two side by side, I would probably pick the lighter blur.
