As to the forward dad. I will say, you saw the video he wants to score goals and likes to crash the net already at home when dad is playing goal. Already took a couple sticks up high. The odds of him playing D seem small, but he looks like hes gonna be a big kid so maybe.

Not to impressed with ESPN and hockey or ESPN and much else.
If the flames rest phaneuf in the next one I wont have good things to say about that. I cant imagine anyone else here would either. You gonna make that hit, you better be there to answer for it. Especially because preseason is every bit as important as regular season right?

Most teams only put their best players in a couple/few pre-season games, no sense in getting them hurt, and the p-s is more about seeing which bubble players make the roster. If I was the Flames, I wouldn't play Phaneuf either, Mike. JMHO.

Tom thats exactly my point through all of this. Its preseason and teams dont want star players hurt, but laying a hit like that in preseason is just ? Both players are not trying to earn a spot. He saw him and took several steps to lay the hit. He lined him up and risked severe injury in the preseason.

See to me thats chicken shiet.
If he is such a bad ass he will lay guys out in the pre season cause it matters so much, then stand up and be ready.
I find a flaw in anyones logic who will argue the hit was necessary and good, but then will argue the next game where he will have to pay for such a relevant and necessary hit he should sit out. Why? cause he may get hurt in a preseason game and be lost for the season? Yeah cause then he would have gotten hurt in a meaningless preseason game.

This is actually a really good question.
All you who said the hit was relevant and the preseason game mattered and it was good and right. If the Flames sit/hide Phanuef and dont let him answer up is that chicken shiet? If not how come? Isnt the pre season game so important? I mean it was important enough to risk someones season, so surely its important enough to play phaneuf.

I see all your points, Mike, and agree with most of them.... but I also know enough to always keep my head up...even in scrimmages against my own team mates.

Great team guy, Ryan....he fills a role that no one I see on the current roster can fill.

I am amazed that more guy's are not seriously injured in hockey. I can't wait to get up to a Adirondack Phantoms game this season.

The Albany River Rats are closer but they suck real bad and the security staff are d!cks. Glens Falls Civic Center is a great little arena. Not a bad seat in the house. You should take a road trip.
