Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?
Speaking of Costa Rican, I tried some beans from Beaumont (the store brand at Aldi's) and it's not half bad. Very cost-effective too!

Today i am drinkin some xtra fancy kona.
I traded some cigars for this coffee from a member[on cf] who lives there. Its awesome, very clean flavors. Pricey, but i dont drink it too much. I also roast all my own beans, so i order raw coffee, usually organic. |

Drinking some good Kroonung coffee from Germany. This stuff is awesome. Trying to stay up to watch some college football. This sucks sitting up till midnight to wait on some dang football, but well worth it.

Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?
What do you use for a roaster? Just curious. I've seen several talk about using a hot air (popcorn) popper... saw one for a buck the other day at a garage sale and almost bought it, but I suspect a regular roaster is better.

I think I did see that somewhere, and was wondering about it. It's 100% arabica, right?

Re: COFFEE: What are you drinking?
I use a bean grown in Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua in an Elektra espresso machine. It's the best espresso I've ever had.

I gotta say -- I Love My Nespresso! It is sooo nice to pop a capsule in and get good rich espresso with lots of crema without any fuss and without having to remember to turn the machine off.
This morning I had Ristretto

Captains Brew
Which recently apparently went out of business. Perhaps I should store the rest somewhere safe eh? Or Not. So Confusing! Drama! Heh, either way the Captains Reserve French Roast is actually pretty damn good, quite frankly. |
