Rolls Royce and Aston both did a good job transferring that DNA into an SUV as well.

I'm looking forward to Ferrari's version

Gorgeous little suv! If I had the means, that would certainly be a nice addition to the stable.

What does this group think of the Maserati Levante? I saw one parked near me a few weeks ago; until then I honestly wasn't aware there is such a thing.

I've only seen one on the road a couple times and they seem too small to be very useful, but then again, who buys a Maserati because they're useful. Nice looking little suv though.

Maserati Levante has been basically a dud for Maserati. They were as slow as could be rolling out the car and it was already a little dated looking by the time it hit showrooms. That being said, it's probably the best manufactured Maserati out of the portfolio and offers the best value.

I am considering a used one to replace our XC60 once the lease is up. Some of the later iterations of the Levante like the GranLusso they got package just right. Other iterations have a lovely Zenga fabric inserts.

For used cars, Maserati is a brand to consider. They depreciate so much and so soon; their used cars values make for a great buy. FCA warranties and financing makes it even more attractive.

If it's got some miles on it I wouldn't be too concerned, especially with the FCA warranty (I think 5 years). No one buys a Maserati if you they are looking for the reliability; that would be a Rav 4.

I am frequent on a Maserati forum and sounds like it's just initial issues and then it's an OK car.

The wife is just so-so on the looks, so it would take some convincing and I rather have a Qporte over the Levante.

I think Maserati will eventually be a mostly electric brand FWIW. Maserati is in a weird segment; it's not up there with Ferrari, it's not as cherished and driver focused as Alfa. Where does it sit? A direct competitor to Jaguar which is also headed towards electric.

Is it known what they are going with? The top Alfa engines are also Ferrari manufactured, but even more "Ferrari" than what Maserati had. The Maserati turbo engines I thought had a Chrysler block that assembled by Ferrari.

The V8 Maserati twin turbo would be the one to get in a Qporte, but doesn't sound as nice. Probably would with a Larini on it.

Sort of off topic for this thread, but thought maybe some of you guys might have opinions/advice. I"m eventually looking to replace my 9 y/o Ford Edge in the next year or so. Leaning towards something like a 2016-2018 Audi Q5 or the BMW X4 (hate the styling of the X5). Anyone have experience with either?

You’re the second person to tell me that. Coworker had the extended warranty, and it still cost him a lot to get a starter replaced.

A friend leased a 7 series. He custom ordered the car for around 120K.

When the lease ended, he took a loan out on the car with a BMW extended warranty. 2 years into the extended warranty, he passed about 20K in repair costs that was paid by the warranty.

5 years since I first got the car, I bet it's worth less than 20K at best. Looks brand new and the interior is a marvel. He check boxed every option and then some...

The Cadillac XT5 is a heck of a suv. The new Xt6 is nice too if you want something bigger.

I'm not a fan of any of the new BMW's at all. All the maint costs seem to be crazy. I'd have no problems buying a few older models though. The e85/86 Z4 3.0si or Z4M, E39 540i and M5, and any of the M3's before the F80 are all cars i'd have. ......and maint be damned I'd love an old 8 series.

Looks like I'm getting ready to sell our Volvo. We've really enjoyed it but it's time to move on. We'll miss that V8 sound coming out of a rather vanilla looking Volvo lol. I'm on the hunt for a 70's Cadillac now, with either the 500 or 472 V8. I didn't realize how difficult decent ones are to find, but the hunt is on.

Found one for you, if they do not cancel the Mecum auction at Indy this May. Could maybe go for less than you think, as these sometimes go for less than others, like a Chevy SS. Plus, it is offered with no reserve.
