Re: Devil Site Victims Anonymous
Tell me about it after that haul I said no more for a while but I still keep putting in lowball bids and winning then with just a couple wins you have to get more to justify the shipping right

Re: Devil Site Victims Anonymous
Made my first bid and win yesterday. Just a 5 pack of some Alec Bradley's
Threw in a $13 Bid didn't think I would get them, but figured what the hell. Got an e-mail this morning saying I won. Is this how it starts?

That's EXACTLY how it starts. The next step is finding something you like and putting a reasonable bid in for it. Then you think to yourself "Well, to make the shipping worthwhile I should bid on something else." So you find something else you like and put in a reasonable bid on that, too. Then you realize that if either of those bids doesn't win you're not making out so well on the shipping. So you bid on a third item just in case, even though you don't really have room for them. And then you win all three bids. Then, of course, there's the late night "Drink & Bid", where you have a few too many, wake up the next morning, and check your e-mail to find four bid confirmation e-mails and you have no idea what you bid on.

Very ironic seeing this post on the top, since I just came back inside from the UPS guy dropping off my first order from there. If this is how it starts, guess I better hold on tight, the slope looks a little slippery from here.

Re: Devil Site Victims Anonymous
Went on a bit of a tear with the Devil:
Diesel 6-pack with lighter and cutter - $31 (reg $49) Box of Cain Maduro torpedoes - $61 (reg $149) box of MOW Ltd. Toro Grande (10) - $39 (reg $69) 10er of Fallen Angel robustos - $35 (reg $60) I didn't think I was going to get the Cains. I set my limit at $65. Frickin' Devil.

Re: Devil Site Victims Anonymous
Hey everyone, this is my first post but thought it fitting to bring back this thread since I just got back into enjoying the occasional stick and discovered this site. What started off as a quest to find a decent but inexpensive humidor has sent me wayyyy over the edge in a very short time. This is just what I've picked up since June 18th:
6/18 - 10 Rocky Patel vintage 1992 Robustos - $38 6/19 - 5 Rocky Patel Royal Vintage Toro - $20 6/24 - 4 Drew Estate Natural Irish Hops - $20 6/25 - 5 R&J 1875 El Gordo's incl 5 Herf-a-dor and lighter - $28 6/26 - 5 My Father #1 Robusto - $30 6/29 - 1 Tuscany 100ct Humidor - $43 6/29 - 21 J Fuego Sangre de Toro Toros' - $55 6/29 - 1 Colibi grip cutter - $10 6/30 - 5 H. Upmann 1844 Res. Robusto - $19 6/30 - 10 Alec Bradley Flight Sampler $28 7/1 - 5 Oliva Serie 'O' Torpedo - $23 7/1 - 5 My Father No. 1 - $33 7/1 - 5 H. Upmann 1844 Res. Churchill - $19 Normally I'd say I have a problem but from what I've seen the selection gets pretty narrow after a while. After reviewing things further I'm hoping I can stay clean for at least a month, suurrrre I can. |
