I've been eyeing the Montegues for a while, they look really nice for the money.

What type of fan are you using?

I've had mine for about a month now, and I couldn't be any happier with it. It looks great and serves its purpose!

Do you need to use a Oasis or will beads suffice in these?

I just picked up one of the glade plug in fans, they fit nice and keep a nice steady circulation.

Oh, just don't put the sent pots in it.

They do have a small heating element in them but it realy doesn't change the temp at all, it just isn't big enough to cause an issue.

I actualy just use beads. I have two jars in the bottom of the Humi. When I first got it and after seasoning and adding new boxes I had to add some more beads but after a month or two I was able to remove some and it stays pretty solid at 65%.

Beads will work well also. 2 1/2 - 3 lbs of beads should be good. Put 1/2 lbs in the top drawer and the rest bellow. It all depends on how many cigars you store in it also.... My other cabinet is actually a 60 bottle wine cellar, and I put 4 lbs of 65% beads in it and it keeps everything right at 65%...

Do you use one of the small glade fans or the big ones? I just bought one of the small ones and have it in the bottom of my montigue now. I just don't see how that tiny fan would circulate much air in there. I can't feel any air blowing when I put my hand near it.

I have two, one in the drawer and one at the bottom everyhing is 64% sharp (but this is from my hygros... yes the have been saltested) On some ocasions I had 2 or 3% difference between the Drawer and the bottom but this was before I sealed it up. I have three fans running on my Hydra, one in the top pushing air in the drawer and the two others at the bottom. Hope this help. ALL Enjoy your Montegues (we should start a MOntegue thread)

I use the big one. I didn't think it would do much either, got the same issue of not fealing any real movement but it keeps the air from getting stale for me and keeps the Rh levels the same in the top drawer as the bottom cabinet.
