Rick, wasn't Band of Brothers a mini-series and not a movie?

Yup, but Netflix has it packaged on DVDs in about five two+ hour installments. Great rental.

Hey guys, for years, my Dad, who has just turned 77, has been bugging me about one of his favorite Westerns, but all he can remember was a scene in a jail with a bunch of young cowboys behind bars (one is possibly Jeffrey Hunter or Robert Walker) and one of them is begging the grumpy, moustached sheriff / deputy for "one of them big old cigars." The law officer just laughs and keeps the big green stogie clenched between his teeth.

The movie was in color and looked 1950's - late 1960s.

Can someone name the movie so my Dad can get the DVD and then think of another obscure title for me to find!

Smoke 'em if you've got 'em,

Big AK

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968) The General and other baddies smoke cigars all the way through this scary kids film.

Dead Man (1995) Jonny Depp is constantly asked for cigars and tobacco in this odd western. One of cigar legend Robert Mitchum's last movies.

Lets not forget the original Cape Fear (1962) which starred Robert Mitchum in the Max Cady role, played by Robert De Niro in the remake.

Brazil (1985) Robert De Niro plays cigar chomping Harry Tuttle, heating engineer in Terry Gilliam's take on 1984.

The Go Between (1970) Period British drama in a posh county house. The famous cigar scene as a rite of passage/ coming of age in repressed Edwardian Britain is pretty cringe making, but fun.

The Waterdance (1992) William Forsythe chews on a cigar for most of the movie.

Stone Cold (1991) Cigar chomping bikers led by Lance Henriksen.

Running Cool (1993) Another biker gang with plenty of cigar chomping.

Titanic (1997) Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet
