I went with fuente only because I felt forced to pick one. I smoked 6 fuentes this week and only 3 padrons so I guess I will go with the fuentes for now. Not really a fair question fuente offers so much as far as choices go.

I love them both, but if I had to choose one, I'd have to go with Fuente.

Arturo Fuente.

I just had my first Arturo Fuente Don Carlos, it was the Robusto. It was very expensive but such a fantastic cigar. I mainly smoke Habanos, but after smoking this I am definately going to be looking more into Arturo Fuente and NC cigars.

If I was forced to go with just one it would depend on the particular cigar. I would flip a coin. No problem here with either of those brands.

I have to go with Padron. However Fuente makes some good smokes and they are usually easier to find at a good price then the Padrons with the exception of the high end cigars.

I like the Padron 1926 Anniversary very much, and would have, until recently, voted for Padron. Then I had my first, second and third Anejo, and that, for me, gives Arturo Fuente a slight edge.

I like both... but I would have to say Fuente!

Anejo, Opus, GOF... these are some of my favorites.

I voted Padron because I love the padron maddies from the '000 series to the '64 and '26, they are amazingly consistent and like I said, I love the flavor. The only thing with picking padron is that it is consistent to the point of boring. You better like the flavor because it is what it is over and over and over. That said the fuente line is far more diverse but not nearly as consistent. I have had Opus cigars that blew me away and others that were quite disappointing and this goes for most of the fuente line. If fuente could get their quality control to the same level as padron with their diversity I would definitely pick the fuente but my experience with fuente to this point is hit or miss.

The anejo's are more hit than miss though.

lots of wiggle room there, as a line Fuente has more to offer and at different price range but I'd put a 1964 up against a hemmingway classic anyday. Fuente for me....

I am not sure if I could decide between the higher end stuff in their lines. Truthfully I don't like the Padron X000 series or any of the regular production Fuente stuff. I like PAM and PAN 40th and 80th and Opus, Anejo and DCM.

Fuente - 858 IMHO is a reliable smoke. Not the best cigar by any means, but reliable.

For some reason I have had some bad luck with Fuente, and just the opposite with Padron. So, I voted Padron.

I picked Fuente because I smoke far more fuente's than padrons. Fuente has a wide array of flavors and bodies. Padron has one. It's a damn good one, but I bore of it pretty quickly.
If I could only smoke one brand or the other, I'd choose Fuente in a second even though Padron's best cigar is probably better than fuente's best cigar.
