Wish he had one of his melt downs in the gold medal game, but we were not so lucky.

On thursday I had the pleasure of taking my son to the Sharks Habs game. I have to say without question the Price played a great game and had the posts on his side as there were at least 3 clankers. One was from a penalty shot awarded when Hal Gill(yeah that one) threw Prices goalie stick at a boyle who was breaking in. That said the Habs players were the biggest bunch of complainers I have seen all season. Every stopage every penalty wah wah wah. The refs did not keep a handle on them or the game as the game progressed the game got very dirty.

They missed/ didnt call a ton of calls as the game progressed getting worse and worse. As a result early in the 3rd period a late hit by Lapierre on Nichol which resulted in a four game suspension. http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=520323 That was one of the worse officiated games I have seen in a long time. The refs seemed extremely intimdated by the Habs players and really let them affect the officiating. They openly argued with the refs for extended periods.

Those on the east coast who see the Habs more, is this common place as to them crying constantly and arguing every call?

Spoke to Nichol today at our kids game. He said he will be able to keep playing, though the injury will be with him till the end of the season. Mans game.

Ain't that the truth.... I wouldn't expect anything less from Nichol.

Well I guess at practice it turned out to be a little worse he is resting for a week apparently. I guess its good as they dont play again till thursday. If he's out on the ice with us tomorrow I will poke him for info, doubt he will skate if he is injured though.

Decent 1st period, Hawks capitalized on their chances but were giving the puck away WAY TOO often.

Zetterberg is hurt, you can see it in his stride.

All the bad things I saw in the 1st period came to fruition in the 2nd, and the Hawks will need a miracle to get back in this game.

Looks like Berschmoozi got hurt....not good for the Wings.

Great win for the Wings They really just stole all the momentum in that second period. Chicago at least still tried to make it a game with 2 goals in the 3rd. Season series is 3-2 Hawks with 1 game left.

Hoping for a repeat of the Hawks and Wings in the Conference Finals, Christos!

not going to happen Tom. I am still holding out for a Calgary push and Wings flame out. Hey that works on 2 levels. get it Flame out. huh get it. See what I did there. hahah

So how many games is Cooke getting for the HS on Savard?
Second offense in 3 months. Walker earlier in the season. Savard got strechered off. I think atleast 4 games no pay.

The Wings are making the playoffs. No way the just tank the rest of the season. They know the playoffs have basically already started for them, as every game is crucial in the standings.

Cook needs to get a suspension. His entire career has been cheap shots. Let him stay suspended for as long as Sevard is out. In addition this is a stupid move since it now makes Crosby a target.

Tom, put in cook and sevard hit, it is the first thing up in you tube, can't figure how to embed the video. You will agree that it was an extreme cheap shot I hope.

I'm disgusted at Claude Julien and the Bruins for letting that hit on Marc Savard go and not doing anything about it. There is a line between what's legal and what's dirty and Cooke crossed way over the line.
