First off half the crap in the game is entirely useless.

What is useful

1. Wingsticks, keep 99 (Max) at all times
2. Sniper rifle (25-50 ammo at all times is good enough)
3. Most importantly ....Dynamite bolts these just make the game a cakewalk. Combined with Wingsticks you won't even take hits....at all...ever. I don't know what the limit for these is but carry it.

There isn't much of a storyline at all. I don't know if this game was a book, movie or if there were previous games but I don't even know what or why I was playing.

I enjoyed some of the gruesome weapons and kills. GREAT graphics but overall I'd give this game a 7/10 "Average".

The last gun they gave you I never even used. It sounded so badass and powerful I thought I'd save the ammo. Then right before the game ended I realized I had a stupid amount of ammo and nothing really needed more power. I was 1-2 shotting everything as is.

I got 12 hours of play out of it. I'd say you COULD push maybe 15 hours. But you could also probably beat it in 8-10 hours.

That's pretty $hitty. I miss the days of single player games taking 40-75 hours to beat.

A great effort on the game, but it was wasted. They could have gone SO MUCH further and really utilized all possibilities.

Holy crap! For all the hype and pushbacks this game received what a disappointment!

Nice review.

The funny thing is IGN gave the game an 8.5/10. They agreed on the 10-12 hours of gameplay. Also they said the ending sucked. The characters were hollow and you were shooting people for pure entertainment because the story was minimal.

Just as I said, but despite all of that they still gave it an 8.5/10....Pathetic.

Yeah Mickey and it's a shame. It had some damn good potential. Excellent graphics, fun combat. Just needed a much better storyline and about 20 more hours of gameplay.

I went back and used the Pulse cannon and BFG. Useless.

The BFG is WAY too slow to kill any fast moving enemies (75%+ in the game)

Dynamite bolts are infinitely better than both the Pulse cannon and it's BFG ammo.

It's worth renting if only for the visual aspects, it looks VERY nice. However it is definitely NOT worth buying at all.

Way to take one for the team man.

For my part I just found out this afternoon that Dungeon Keeper 2 is on Gog, so my night was screwed.

Yep. Me too (re: PC.) Hell I haven't owned a TV since the early 90s.

The Bethesda stuff is just getting too big and deep for me. It's like trying to play Civ games in Tetris time slots. I just don't have the energy for it any more.

Honestly I use to be quite the hardcore gamer, I can't do it anymore either.

I can play MAYBE 5 hours a day, after that I get bored. Not everyday either.

I only use TV's for 1080P blurays.

I've never played on any console more than at my friends house as a kid. Don't like them at all.

Thanks to steam (bastards) I pulled down the last two Red Faction games. Armageddon has promise at $20. The magnet gun is fun, reeking though it does of "give us a gravity gun like HL2 but...make it different enough so it's not so obvious we just stole the idea."

I was just checking to see when Assassin's Creed revelations comes out and saw an awesome sale going down on Amazon.

Preorder for PS3? $60
Preorder for Xbox? $60
Preorder for PC (with DVD-rom shipped to you)? $50
Preorder for PC (download)? $35

I know which one I'm doing! Heck - brotherhood is still $20 - or get the new one for $15 extra!

After bailing an hour in to the first one I'm just having a hard time with the idea of diving back in to the franchise. I know people keep saying how they fixed it. but... yeesh.

Once bitten.

So Steam has a "Free to Play" weekend on Warhammer 40k dawn of war 2 "Retribution". Can't seem to get to it to try it, but they've been pretty good to me so far (40k strategy games) and the price deal is sweet, so if I can get to the free to play to demo it I may end up with it.

I still miss C&C Generals: Zero Hour for classic RTS goodness though

Trying Might and Magic VI out, we'll see. Looks alright, sadly though I was more impressed with the old school ones.
