Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I'm glad you enjoyed it. Wonderful stuff. I'm stocking up a few extra 12 packs since it's seasonal and I'm not sure when the supply will run out.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Okay. Costco beer sampler case, including a Pale Ale, Hefe, Amber ale, and a German Lager.
The PA (must not be an Extra Pale ale)... not as good as Summit EPA. The Hefe has a touch of something ... slightly off, like a sourness of a farmhouse, almost. The other 2? not sure yet. Last edited by replicant_argent; 11-27-2009 at 09:08 AM. |

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I had a Santa's butt porter and a Black Coal Stout last night. They were ok but not worth the money IMO.

Had some Steelhead Extra Pale Ale yesterday with my BIL while watching some awful football. My first taste of a Mad River Brewing product--that's damn good beer

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
I just finished a Tyranena Hop Whore. This may be one of the most enjoyable beers I've ever had. Think ruby red grapefruit juice, just freaking awesome. Great use of hops, and enough malt to kick in some sweetness and backbone. Man that was SO good.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Finishing the night with Anchor Porter. Very tasty and creamy, but I would almost call this a stout. I like porters to be a bit "crisper." A few more sips and off to bed.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Also need to add that I went to Bevmo tasting of Shiner Holiday Cheer, Alaskan Winter Ale, Lagunitas Brown Shugga, Samuel Adams Winter Lager, and Blue Moon Full Moon Winter Ale.
I know the guys since I go each week. They give me more then generous pours.

Re: What beers are you enjoying?
Great Lakes Christmas Ale...nice but very heavy on after taste also not as sweet as past years.
12 Dogs of Christmas Ale....brewed by the original brewer for Great Lakes, I really enjoy this brew over GL. Definately sweeter honey and better spice blend. |
