Re: NHL '09 - '10 Thread
It's not so hard My first year of fantasy hockey came in second. It did help that it just so happened I had Dany Heatley and Daniel Alfredsson in the 05-06 season with Datsuyk and Marty Brodeur. Don't forget some of it is luck, no one knows how those players will play that particular season.

Re: NHL '09 - '10 Thread
Thanks for the invite Tom. Glad you cut down on the roster size as last year was hard to find players (especially goalies) with so many slots needing to be filled.

Re: NHL '09 - '10 Thread
No doubt, Greg...this year everyone should be able to get at least one #1 goalie. I also added penalty minutes back into the mix, changed GAA to Save Percentage, and a couple other minor tweaks. I will start a new thread for the league as soon as I have heard back from last years' 16 as to whether they are in or out.

Hopefully. I'm not really sure what to think about the upcoming season, not a huge Tortorella fan, but who, knows.

Holy Sheit!!!!!
Heatly is now a shark? http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=4...id=DL|NHL|Home The good, heatly is a goal scorer and a game changer. The bad, heatly has had issues every where he played. This is either going to take the sharks over the hump, or destroy the locker room. Dark humor, maybe they are bringing him in to get rid of marleau. If Im patty I am not getting in a car with that dude. Okay thats wrong sorry I had to . |

My favorite part of the Heatley trade:
Quote:
Hockeybuzzhogwash.com tracked his "rumors" for the 2008 year, and he only got 2.4% accurate, which is less than the 3.4% chance or randomly picking one of the 30 teams out of a hat.

Heatley trade is huge for the Sharks for as long as he isn't a distraction.

On a side note I just was told I have been accepted in the last spot of special studies course in which I will be working extensively with the mens hockey team at school. The competition for the position was pretty intense so I'm pretty excited that I got the position. |
