Re: Red's Fans Check in
It is a nice trend for the Reds, make a good hitter then trade them away. They are great at giving offense away and getting sorry bullpen pitchers in return. I would rather have the ability to score 10 runs than the pitchers who give up 10 runs

Re: Red's Fans Check in
I was happy when Jocketty came over. I thought he might end this type of $h!t. I guess not. Fire Dusty, have Jocketty talk his boy LaRussa in to coming over for a season or two, and get us one more good bat in the lineup and we'll have us a damn good team.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
I really don't think Dusty is making the decisions, they likely come from the top down. He tries to work with what he has, which frankly isn't too much, particularly in his pitching staff. Upper management has made most of the decisions to let big bats move along and it has cost them in the ability to push runs across, they leave a ton of runs sitting on the base paths. They have what appear to be 3 good starters, one who is hit or miss and one who could be good someday. Their middle relief is so up and down it is ridiculous, still not sold on Weathers as the go-to setup man and even their closer isn't a shut-down kind of guy (we need a Papelbon or Rivera type of closer, hard to find I know, but somehow they have to find one). Just my observations, but some of it is pretty clear.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Tonight we go nose to nose with the 'Stros. If we can't win this series, we might as well hang it up and try again next year. Despite Wednesday's loss, we still look decent.

Re: Red's Fans Check in
Looks like they control their own destiny. If they win out they will be in the playoffs
