F**K I'm an arsehole! Those bottles are 2007! I should have cleaned them out! 16% ABV for the 2007's. I had the 2011 Mephistopheles, now I'll get to try them with some age on them.

(sorry I'm just kicking myself in the head right now) I had no idea.

As much as I like Avery's stuff, I'm not a fan of the Mephistopheles. Maybe with some age on them, they even out, but I found the 2011 release to be very wine-like and thin.

I did find a 2009 bottle of this last week

Thinking about sharing it with my son when he graduates from Radford in a few weeks

Not a big haul, but all this talk of strong beers & Avery got me in a barleywine kinda mood

Avery Hog Heaven, which I drank last night and it was pretty good, more on the hoppy side than I was expecting, but that just made it in my book.

The Stone Old Guardian is 2011 vintage. I may drink that one tonight--depending on how I like it, might head back to pick up one for the cellar.

Just found two bottles of 09 Dogfish World Wide Stout, and am happy about that.

Local store has a case of Founders Devil Dancer. I'm not much of an IPA guy so I didn't pick any up.

Greg, I ordered up some Bit(hin' glassware for the tasting today, only 3 dozen, so I hope there aren't

Really? Wow! I used the most awesome Shack Herf 2010 pint glass last year and here we were minus Tristan. If you look close you can see the pint glass on the table along the awesome selection of brew from around the country:

These are little 5 oz mini-pilsner glasses that we can pour a sip into and everyone can have their
own glass. Not sure if what you were trying to say was that everyone drank out of the same shack herf
glass....hehe...of course everyone had their own anyway, if I recall. I have put a logo on them, NOT
this one, though. This is an example.

After puffpuffpass-ing so many cigars, I don't guess drinkdrinkpass is so strange.

Wow, would love to get my hands on some of this. I thought DD was a seasonal, didn't think Founders had released a new batch yet?

Maybe this is from last year's release? I'll check to see if they are still there in the new few days.
