According to:

For the 2010-2011 season the Wings are averaging 19,520 which is 97.3 % of capacity.

BTW, thanks for the Pens-Isles fight link Tom. Crazy stuff there. IMO, the hit on Comeau friom the previous game looked dirty, but the cheapshot sucker punch that started this melee was really bad. You don't get even for a cheapshot with another cheapshot. You (or your local enforcer) square off against him and beat him face to face.

Forsberg retires after 2 games. A few less than I had thought.

Ahh thank you much for the clarification Tom. I hadn't seen that previous game.

Very Bertuzzi like, I am sorry Martin only got 4 games.

Thrashers sign Byfuglien to multi-year extension. Reported to be 26 mil over 5 years. Only good news to come out of Atlanta for weeks.

It was the smart decision with fugly. He can be a beast on the ice and dramatically impact the game.

Sharks win in OT against the Preds. Not a very exciting game except for the ending in OT.

Watched the Sharks game, wish they would have gotten it done in regulation.

Mike, is Heatley always that bad in his own end? I thought he was used on the PK< but man, he was awful.

Good for Byfuglien....just wish it had been in Chicago.

It has been talked about many times this year. He uhhhhh, yeah he can be fairly irresponsible and he is not exactly getting noticed for backchecking.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZXGJYz8GMo Not a good day. I love DP going over to Chara and bumping him. Yeah your going to fight him. Sure buddy. It kills me to see him with that C. I got to say I loved last week when he was talking crap to Kovalcuck towards the end of the game only to have Kovalchuck beat him and his D partner on a 1 on 2.

Ohhh

Bruins drop 3rd straight in a piss poor effort last night on home ice.
Last night they traded their second round pick to the Senators for Chris Kelly, WTF. Not the kind of player we were looking for?
This is the third season I have said it Julien has got to go.

I agree if Julien, fails in the playoffs this year or if they miss the playoffs, he is gone.
They also now have the same amount of points as Montreal. You can almost see it slipping away.

Julien is a decent regular season coach, but can't step up in the playoffs.
Montreal fired him, he brought NJ to the playoffs,
Amarillo fired him and coached the team himself
and went on to win the cup.He is not a big game coach.
What he done to Kampfer was classless, scratch the kid with 50 family and friends in the stand that have never seen him play.
I don't know why one of the captains didn't speak up on that one?

I didn't know about the Kamfer thing. But I think he has an issue with Rookies. Why does he always healthy scratch the kids when it could be there time to shine. But He will let a veteran player who is playing like (something a dog dropped in the yard) ie wideman (last year), Wheeler play on when they really need the kick in the A$$. He is confusing

Love the homer announcers complaining the ref let him get his ass beat.
Uhhhh he seemed to throw the shot that started it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjAh7uiS32A

Pens have the most fighting majors in the league. Made me wonder when Mario was so so upset this weekend. I know he is lobbying because he has players hurt and all, but when your team leads the league in fights should you really be that upset?

Mario is looking like a hypocrite, he doesn't speak up when Matt Cooke pulls his nonsense, but says the things he does now? I understand the Islanders had a couple real tools in that situation the other night, but Mario needs to look at his own team in the mirror before he gets his holier-than-thou attitude going.
