Chicago looks like a team possessed! Up 4 to 2 midway through the third period.

The B's got great depth at all positions, and a lot more fire power. The Carolina players were scared shitless of getting hit by Lucic. Staal has been a non factor, he can't do anything against Chara. The key is for the B's to stay out of the penalty box. But this is the playoffs a hot goalie can steal a series.

Hawks looked great, stole back home ice advantage...Looking forward to Games 3 and 4 in Chicago. John. I know you're a fan, but the 'Canes were "scared chitless of getting hit by Lucic"? Seriously, this is the NHL....not too many "scared" players out there. Look for Carolina to make a series out of it.

I know. When he got traded it was oooooooo the sharks fleeced the bruins. Now its "wow I guess thats why the Bruins let him go so easy". I keep thinking Wilson was refering to Jumbo when he kept saying "There will be Big changes during the offseason." Got to wonder. I would not mind seeing him go. I got to imagine there will be a few guys on the market. Those that dont move will likely be on the shortest rope imaginable. |

Wise words! Carolina has their hands full... but it was only one game. I think the Hurricnaes have a shot if it goes to seven. If we want the Cup, we have to beat the best. I am expecting a better game from the 'Canes tonight.

I wouldn't mind seeing him go at all, and would rather see him go before Marleau. I think Marleau plays to his ability in the postseason, while Thornton has the potential to completely change the dynamics of the game, and doesn't. I also don't see Marleau keeping the C, which I don't think is a big deal for him at all, in fact he would probably rather NOT have the extra pressure. That first overtime for the Wings/Ducks game was exciting. Refs kept their whistles in their pockets, but that is expected. I can't believe the Ducks are getting so outhit. Wings did prove my point to go high on Hiller though.

I think James was going to the Wings game today, tough way to lose 6 periods in. The Wings will need to steal home ice advantage back in Anaheim.

The only 6 period game I ever attended resulted in a Hawks loss, obviously many years ago. They cut off beer sales halfway through the 2rd period, so by the 3rd OT I was just ready for it to be over, win or lose....of course, that game was a 7:30 start, so it was a bit later. The Wings will get it back Tuesday.

I thought the Wings outplayed them completely in the OT, as well as during the 3rd. Ward just made a series of 3 amazing saves during a power play! Bruins have seemed flat today. I would say this isn't a good thing for the Bruins, as it gives Ward, and the rest of the Canes a lot of confidence. |
