The Wings make it interesting but still fall short. The Ducks deserved to win the game. Some nice action after then end of the game.

Re: NHL '08- '09 Thread
Now that was a game. I got to say I like the Bs chances. Last game 4-0 this game 4-2 but they really carried the play from the puck drop. Looked a lot like game 1. If they come out like this in game 7 they could pull it out. I think they got momentum for sure.
Anyone just here them playing drop kick murphys on the speakers at the ducks game? Little heading up to Boston. Now that was funny. Hiller is looking STRONG right now. If he keeps it up he may steal this one. |

You can tell the Wings are playing like they are waiting for game 7.

The miss calls seem to be a wash though.

I wasn't real impressed with Getzlaf, Perry and Neidermeyer going after Hossa, Rafalski and Datsyuk....talk about picking your spots. I lost all respect for Neidermeyer with that sucker elbow at Pavel while 4 other guys were throwing punches. What a p#ssy.
I think the Hawks could beat the Ducks at this point, but I would rather see them play Detroit than the punks from out West.

The Wings need to really kick it up a notch in game 7.

Re: NHL '08- '09 Thread
doubt it. it was very dirty. The end of the game is why no one but ducks fans likes the ducks style of play. They are a dirty team at times. It was very sad to see that. dont expect any suspensions though. Apparently the league has decided they wont suspend anyone this year.

Re: NHL '08- '09 Thread
I think the Ducks play at the end was not surprising. EXCEPT for niedermayer, who threw that elbow. Never would have expected something like that from him, but I guess when you are on a team with a bunch of other cheap shot artists, and the king of them all, Pronger, you learn their trade. Shame, as I never thought he would do something like that.
I think Perry pisses me off the most. He has done a few things this playoffs which I thought deserved at least an extra look, and a fine, and he got off with nothing. Maybe the Wings have someone to go after him? I expect zero suspensions as it was game 6, AND it was niedermayer. I hate the NHL for its inconsistency on things like this. They set everything up with the Brashear hit, and I feel after that stopped caring. Didn't get to see the Caps/Pens game, but what a blowout. I WILL find a way to see the Wings/Ducks game, as the Wings should be coming out hard after that embarrassment from last game. |
