They won the series...just couldn't sweep it. Gee pitched a good ballgame...the offense just decided to not show up. Kind of knew we weren't going to go 162-0.

Even if the Mets lose all the rest of their games, at least they didn't have to suffer the embarrassment of losing their season opener.

Mets beat the Phillies 7-2 last night to improve to 5-2. Harvey looked outstanding again last night.

Gee hasn 't looked the same since his injury. At the beginning of last year when he was dealing. I believe he may still be hurt.
